‘Tired/Reflections’ is the first track on his new project, ‘Everything’s For Sale’ and comes in setting the mood strongly. He breaks the song up into two parts, which are being realistically tired and is reflecting on the past or near future. One of the things Boogies raps about it being tired of working on himself to be perfect. This is an aspect mostly everyone can say this is a feeling they’ve felt at least one time in their life. There are times society places lines in the world full of lines we cannot cross or we will be deemed uncivilized. Another thing Boogie is doing in the song is being tired of finding out if certain relationships are worth it. Mostly everyone in the world has encountered heartbreak at least one time in their lives.
The song, ‘Swap Meet’ switches up the mood and starts to go in the direction of a calmer relaxing vibe. He does a mixture of subtle signing and rapping in this track. The beginning of the song starts with relaxing melodic singing about love.“Change your view on a bad day. You must just be my last chance,” he sang. These lyrics have the meaning of being vulnerable as a person to someone you care about. Caring about the person so much you want to only get to know them more.
There are some familiar names on the project you might recognize like, Eminem, 6lack, JID, Snoh Aalegra, and Christian Scott Atunde Adjuah. What’s your favorite song? Check out Boogie’s new project, ‘Everything’s For Sale’, on Spotify and Apple Music.
