G Perico, Cardo, and Jay Worthy Release Self Titled ‘G-Worthy’ Project

Los Angeles rappers G Perico, Jay Worthy of LNDN DRGS, and super producer Cardo have formed a new Hip Hop group called “G-Worthy”. G-Worthy has officially released their self-titled debut project on Fool’s Gold Records. Recorded in 2 days in LA, the project itself is authentic gangster rap from the City of Angels; G Perico from South Central and the Bompton-based Jay Worthy, mixed together with Cardo’s distinct, smoothed-out melodic production, makes for one of the best west coast connections in years. The influences of the project come from old Sacremento sounds from Phonk Beta and the Bay Area hyphy bounce. The project comes on the heels of the groups’ first single “Never Miss” which garnered coverage from XXL, NOISEY, FADER, Stereogum and more.

“The record will take you back to the golden years of West Coast gangsta rap. With Cardo in the director’s seat providing production, Perico and Worthy shine.” – XXL

“If you’re familiar with their collected works, you won’t be surprised to learn that “Never Miss” is pure, unfiltered G-funk of the summertime cruising variety – STEREOGUM

G-Perico’s All Blue came out earlier this year to critical acclaim while Jay Worthy has been prolific on his own in 2017 collaborating with heavy hitters from The Alchemist to P On The Boards. Platinum producer Cardo has been apart of production on Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps”, Kendricks “untitled 07 | levitate” and Schoolboy Q’s smash feat. Kanye West “THat Part.”

Check out G-Worthy’s instant self-titled classic now and stay tuned for more from the group.
