Fashion designer Jeremy Scott has given new life—and a new look—to the legendary fashion house of Moschino. After many successful pursuits in the world of fashion, including a stint as a creative contributor at Addidas, as well as continued success with his namesake fashion label, Scott accepted the invitation to design at the helm of the iconic Italian fashion house, Moschino. Since his tenure at the famed label, Scott has completely reimagined the brand in a very appealing way—the fashion world has taken notice. Namely, it was the cosmetic powerhouse MAC that took notice, and they decided that his creative genius deserves expression via the medium of makeup; they want to take this message to the world. They will achieve this feat with the unveiling of the Jeremy Scott for MAC collection, which will be available online and in stores on February, 8th. The collection is inspired by 90’s music and Scott’s penchant for synergizing high fashion and streetwear. The upcoming collection “introduces manic color for eyes, lips and cheeks specially packaged in cheeky tribute to the days of mixtapes, boomboxes, new music and unhinged creative expression taking root on city streets”. This comes just in time; the unveiling is right on the heels of Scott’s pleasantly eccentric, 20th anniversary, namesake collection fashion show during the latest New York Fashion Week. Expect the designers flair to be clearly apparent in this collection. The “Future Emotion” lip palette features nine shades, including a matte nude, fiery red, brown and purple hues, while the “Acoustic” cheek palette offers a pearly highlighter, matte bronzer and satin pink blush. Completing the collab is the 29-color “LoFi” eyeshadow palette, consisting of an extensive range of vibrant tones and finishes. Because it is powered by MAC, we know that this collection will be everything but boring. For all of our fashionistas, this is, simply, a must-have!
