The MC has been busy

Legendary Queens MC, Nas has been quiet in the music scene in recent years, but his preoccupations with the start-up company Ring might finally be paying off.

The rapper had been an early investor in the wifi security camera & doorbell start-up ever since it had sunk on Shark Tank. In 2016, Ring brought in $160 million dollars and caught the eye of bigger fish in the tech boom.

With interactive tech like Alexa Echoes making it into 16 million homes in 2017, it’s clear Amazon is nudging us all towards life inside a smart-home. Last week, Amazon purchased the company for about $1 billion.

With the Queensbridge Venture Partners being some of the original investors in Ring, Nas is looking at a tasty share coming his way with some waging he’ll be the next Billionaire in Hip Hop.
