Interscope Geffen A&M has announced their recent creation of a new sector addition—a sector specifically for urban music. Interscope Geffen A&M CEO, John Janick, has christened the new department “Urban Operations“.
On Wednesday, February 14th, the famed record company announced the addition of the “Urban Operations”, their latest strategic business unit. The company also announced that entertainment attorney and former Island Def Jam Sr. Vice President of Legal Affairs, Nicole Wyskoarko, will serve as Vice President of the Urban Affairs addition. She will report directly to the CEO.
Nicole brings an impressive skill-set to her new post at Interscope Geffen A&M. She has consistently worked within the music industry in several capacities since she graduated from law school. As a partner at the law firm Carrol, Guido & Groffman, Nicole directed the legal affairs of both Meek Mill and DJ Mustard. Throughout her career, the talented attorney has worked with many artists within the music industry.
