Usher, Lil Jon, and Ludacris released their newest collaboration on April 10th titled “SexBeat”. While the rest of the world has been on pause, this iconic trio have continued working and producing music despite all of the craziness surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe, Usher stated:
“When Usher, Jon and Luda come together it’s always amazing. It allows us to stay connected to our core like us three together. […] No matter what Jon is doing, no matter where Ludacris is, no matter who I am, or where I’m going, or what type of music I’m introducing, when we come together, we go back to the center, like the orbit of who we all are as artists at our best. Usher, Jon and Luda had to do it again. You know? It’s time.”
He also added later on in the same interview however that they’ve been sitting on the single for a couple years and finally just decided to release it. The single consists of slightly risqué and racy, yet fitting lyrics set to a slow but rhythmic beat and will immediately transport you back to the early 2000s. This new single may be the blast from the past that we needed to pull us out of whatever we may be struggling through in these weird and trying times.
Make sure to listen to “SexBeat” by Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris, available on most streaming platforms.
