Four Queens Ruling The Bilboard Charts

For the first time in Billboard history, four black women have the number one and number two spots on Billboard’s The Hot 100 chart this week. Peaking at number one is Doja Cat’s remix of “Say So” featuring Nicki Minaj, while Megan the Stallion’s “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé follows right behind in 2nd place. “Say So” jumped five slots to number from being at number six last week and “Savage” leaped two slots from being at number four. This marks the first Billboard number one hit for both Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj.

Both singles have been popular on social media, especially on Tiktok, with fans posting dancing videos to the hit songs, thus further showing the influence of social media and the internet on music and how important it is to tap into it to be successful.
