Sample Sunday’s: It Ain’t No Fun If the Homies Can’t Have None

In honor of his birthday, for today’s Sample Sunday we bring to you a throwback of Snoop Dogg “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None)” ft. Nate Dogg, Kurupt and Warren G. The song comes from Snoop’s album Doggystyle. Released in 1993, the album debuted #1 on the Billboard 200 and was praised heavily for its “blunt flow and aggressive lyrics”. Doggystyle set the record for the fasting selling hip-hop album by selling almost 11 million copies around the world within a little under a year.

“Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None)” will transport you back to the 90s and keep you bopping along for ages to come.

The song samples “A Few More Kisses to Goby Isaac Hayes” (1979), “Think (About It) by Lyn Collins” (1972), “Indo Smoke” by Mista Grimm feat. Warren G (1993), “Blue Suede Shoes” by Carl Perkins (1956), and “Turn Off the Radio” by Ice Cube (1990).

Make sure to take a listen to the classic throwback!
